Chicago Magazine Acquires Chicago Home & Garden Magazine

Chicago magazine has acquired Chicago Home & Garden and will combine the Lake Forest-based publication with Chicago HOME, Chicago magazine's bi-monthly shelter publication. The combined publication will appear on newsstands beginning with the September/October issue, under the name Chicago HOME + Garden, and it will continue to provide the high-quality editorial content that readers of both Chicago Home & Garden and Chicago HOME enjoy and expect.

"The publication will offer readers and advertisers the best of both magazines," said Randy Hano, the publisher of Chicago magazine and of Chicago HOME. "Chicago HOME has quickly emerged as the dynamic leader of home-design publishing in the Chicago area thanks to its high-quality editorial and growing number of ad pages, and this transaction allows us to serve even more customers."

Under the direction of editor Jan Parr, Chicago HOME has been widely celebrated for its lively exploration of fresh home design and its authoritative listing of resources. The magazine moved this year from a quarterly to a bi-monthly.
