SHADES Magazine Debuts

SHADES, a new online magazine launching June 1, dares to break out of the mainstream mold and inspire us to change the way we see the world. SHADES is a manifest of creative, thought-provoking ideas and strives to be an all-inclusive consortium for young artists and activists who are making waves in their communities.

"We're creating a multi-cultural dialogue with SHADES Magazine that will open the doors for people of all races and sexual orientations to voice their opinions and concerns about the ongoing social changes that are affecting them on a local, national and global scale," says founder and publisher, Stephanie Barnes.

Each issue of SHADES will include provocative, in-depth profile interviews; social commentary; essay tributes to historical trailblazers; book, film and music reviews; and original poetry and photography.
