Modern Luxury Media announced the September 2008 launch of Manhattan, a luxury lifestyle publication catering to the most affluent and influential residents of New York City and surrounding areas of wealth in the Tri-State region. The company also announced that Richard Martin will serve as editor-in-chief. The first issue of Manhattan will be marked with an exclusive, private launch in the Hamptons during Labor Day weekend and arrives in New York on September 5th. Focusing on luxury living for the wealthiest Manhattanites, Manhattan will contain such departments as fall fashion, jewelry and watch, home design and fine dining.
Joining Martin on Manhattan is Spencer Beck, Modern Luxury editorial director, and Modern Luxury President Creative and Fashion Director Ann Song. Beck will direct editorial content for the new magazine, ensuring it holds to the same quality standards of the other titles in the Modern Luxury stable of luxury media brands.
Reflecting the lifestyle of New York's working affluent, each issue of Manhattan will showcase the best that luxury brands have to offer, a celebrity feature, fashion stories and a service-oriented feature specific to New York.
