Preston Gralla Becomes Editor for GreenerComputing.com

Greener World Media has appointed Preston Gralla as editor of GreenerComputing.com.

The move enhances the editorial content of GreenerComputing.com with the expertise and balanced perspective of an industry veteran. Launch of Girls Gone Wild Magazine

Joe Francis, founder and CEO of the popular "Girls Gone Wild" DVD series, will launch Girls Gone Wild magazine, described as "a monthly lifestyle magazine for young men and women geared toward fun, freedom and youthful exuberance." The premiere issue is scheduled to hit the stands in April. The magazine comes packaged with a full-length Girls Gone Wild DVD.

Girls Gone Wild magazine will cover topics familiar to those who enjoy the Girls Gone Wild DVDs and pay-per-view specials, with an accent on girls. Celebrity interviews, product reviews and entertaining feature articles will share the magazine with pictorials of real college girls photographed where the Girls Gone Wild crews meet them -- in nightclubs, beaches, dorm rooms and aboard the Girls Gone Wild bus. The magazine will not contain nudity.

Prisonworld Magazine Debuts

Dawah International, LLC has introduced and released its one of a kind magazine for prisoners. Prisonworld Magazine is published on a seven-issue basis in order to communicate with those behind the wall. It is very unique in conception and the only magazine especially for the prison system that showcases poetry, letters of inspiration, thoughts, comments, and opinions, individually and collectively, of inmates. Within the next year Dawah hopes to expand distribution globally and offer original movies, PSAs and interpretive DVDs for the prison system.

During the initial launch in June, the magazine shipped to approximately 80 institutions in the states of Florida, Georgia, California, Texas, Michigan and Ohio. Before completion of the marketing plan, word of mouth had spread throughout the prisons causing new states and new institutions to be added daily. At the time of the latest printing, the magazine now ships to over 400 institutions, state and federal, in 27 states. "Since it is free to the institution's libraries, we can estimate our readership at approximately 350,000 per month," says Rufus Triplett Jr., Editor.

Organic Style Magazine Reborn

The new exclusively-online Organic Style magazine (http://www.organicstylemag.com/) launches today, heralding a green era in digital media.

Contempo Media Inc. will publish Sharp magazine, a luxury lifestyle publication for Canadian men.

GameSpot Appoints Ricardo Torres as Editor-in-Chief

GameSpot, a video game Web site, has named Ricardo Torres editor-in-chief.

Torres, who has been a key member of GameSpot s editorial team since 2001, brings a decade of editorial experience to the position and an in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry. As editor-in-chief, Torres will oversee GameSpot's editorial staff in their coverage of the latest games and breaking news. Previously, Torres was editorial director of GameSpot.

Prior to his time at GameSpot, Torres oversaw the videogame coverage at CNET Networks' proprietary game site GameCenter and worked in quality assurance at Rocket Science Games, a San Francisco-based developer.
